3D Scan for conceptual planning

Our client required scans of an operating plant, to get an overview of the entire environment in order to access how best to install a new auger.

We accessed the site and planned the scan positions to ensure the scans worked together to minimise shadowing and to ensure scan quality. This particular site was very dusty so key areas needed to be cleaned sufficiently to enable clear scans.

In this instance, our client took the scan to develop the concept themselves however, as part of CDE’s service offering, we could have completed the concept and modelling and they could have come back to us at any stage to request further assistance.

This project is a good demonstration of how CDE’s services can be tailored to best fit our clients’ needs.
